What size projector screens does STWUI offer?
We've got three sizes to match different setups:
- 100" — Compact and easy to move. Perfect for tighter backyards, patios, garages, or any indoor space where you want big-screen impact without taking over the room. At just 6.5 lbs, it's our most portable option.
- 120" — Our most popular. The sweet spot between screen real estate and ease of setup. Ideal for backyard movie nights, birthday parties, and weekend camping trips where you want that true theater feel.
- 150" — When bigger is the whole point. Great for large backyard gatherings, watch parties, church events, or anywhere a crowd's going to show up expecting something impressive.
All three ship with everything you need to get set up — no extra purchases required.
What are the exact dimensions of each screen?
Here's the breakdown:
100" Model (Base Plate Stand)
- Diagonal: 100" | Visible Screen: 87 × 49 in | Overall Frame Width: 90 in | Total Height: 78.5 in
- Weight: 6.5 lbs | Base Plates: 11.8 × 7.9 in
120" Model (Base Plate Stand)
- Diagonal: 120" | Visible Screen: 105 × 58 in | Overall Frame Width: 108 in | Total Height: 78.5 in
- Weight: 9.5 lbs | Base Plates: 14.2 × 7.9 in
150" Model (Telescopic Tripod Stand)
- Diagonal: 150" | Screen Height: 102 in / 8.5 ft | Overall Width (Assembled): 134 in / 11.2 ft
- Max Stand Height: 110 in / 9.2 ft | Collapsed Carry Height: 34.6 in
What is the difference between the tripod and the metal plate versions of the stand?
Good question — they actually use two different stand systems, each built for different priorities.
The metal plate versions use a flat iron base plate design: two wide, weighted base plates sit on the ground and support a rigid frame structure. It's lower-profile, extremely stable, and designed for use on backyard grass, patios, campsite gravel, and flat surfaces where you want something rock-solid that won't wobble. Ground stakes anchor through the base plates for added security.
The tripod uses two telescopic tripod stands with adjustable height — great for larger gatherings where you need maximum screen height and the flexibility to raise or lower the display. Same anchor system: four ground stakes plus wind ropes keep it steady in a breeze.
Both designs are built for real outdoor conditions. Neither requires sandbags.
How long does it take to set up?
Quick — but the setup experience varies slightly by model.
The 100" and 120" take around 5–8 minutes for one person. The frame sections connect in sequence, the base plates lock in with the included hex wrench (just a few bolts — nothing complicated), and the screen drapes and fastens along the frame. Straightforward once you've done it once, even faster the second time.
The 150" goes up in about 3–5 minutes as well — you extend the two tripod stands, connect the five horizontal frame bars, and hang the screen. No tools needed at all for the tripod model.
Either way, by the time your guests have grabbed a drink, you'll be ready to roll.
Do I need tools to set it up?
Depends on the model.
The 100" and 120" include an inner hex wrench for tightening the base plate screws — it takes about a minute and everything you need is already in the box. No extra tools, no hardware store runs.
The 150" tripod model is completely tool-free — everything locks and clicks into place by hand.
Either way, no power tools, no Allen key hunts, no calling in a favor from your neighbor.
Can one person set it up alone?
Yep. All three models are designed for solo setup. No "hold this end while I run over there" required. One person, flat ground, the included instructions, and you're done.
What's included in the box?
Everything you need is already in there. Here's what ships with each model:
100" Model: Frame tubes, 2 iron base plates (11.8 × 7.9 in), 4 fluorescent ground stakes, 2 × 18 ft wind ropes, inner hex screws + wrench, folded projection screen fabric, STWUI carry bag (17.7 × 7.8 in)
120" Model: Frame tubes, 2 iron base plates (14.2 × 7.9 in), 4 fluorescent ground stakes, 2 × 18 ft wind ropes, inner hex screws + wrench, soft wrinkle-free projection screen fabric, STWUI carry bag (17.7 × 7.9 × 3.1 in)
150" Model: 5 horizontal frame bars (each 26.8 in / total 134 in), 2 telescopic tripod stands (collapses to 34.6 in, extends to 110 in), 2 white wind ropes (32.8 ft / 10 m each), 4 fluorescent ground stakes, 150" projection screen fabric, user manual, STWUI carry bag
Nothing sold separately. Nothing you'll wish you'd thought to bring.
Will it stay standing on a windy night?
That's exactly what we designed for.
The 100" and 120" base plate models are especially stable — the wide, heavy iron base plates sit flat on the ground and resist tipping even before you stake anything. Push the four included ground stakes through the holes in each base plate and into the soil, add the dual wind ropes, and it's not going anywhere short of a serious storm.
The 150" tripod model uses the same anchoring system — four ground stakes plus two wind ropes — providing solid reinforcement for its larger frame and greater height.
That said, use your judgment: a breezy summer evening is exactly what these are built for. A thunderstorm rolling in is a different conversation. Pack it up and try again tomorrow.
Do I need sandbags?
No sandbags. The 100" and 120" base plate design is heavy and wide enough to stay stable on its own, and gets even more anchored once you stake through the base into the ground. The 150" tripod system similarly anchors with ground stakes and wind ropes. No sandbags required, no rocks, no improvising.
What aspect ratio does the screen use?
All three screens use a 16:9 widescreen ratio — the standard format for movies, TV shows, sports broadcasts, and 4K content. Whatever you're playing, it's going to fill the frame the right way.
What's the viewing angle?
The screen delivers a 160° ultra-wide viewing angle. Whether you're in the sweet spot front and center or camped out to the side in a folding chair, the image stays sharp and clear. Great for bigger groups where the seating spread out across the yard.
Does it support rear projection?
Yes. The milk silk screen material works with both front and rear projection setups. Want to hide the projector behind the screen for a cleaner look? Go for it — the material handles both configurations without losing image quality.
What is the screen material? Will it wrinkle?
The screen is made from premium milk silk fabric — soft, lightweight, and designed to deliver clean, vivid images. Some light creasing from folding during shipping is normal and will relax out on its own after hanging for a bit. For anything stubborn, a low-heat iron on the reverse side (with a cloth between the iron and the fabric) sorts it out fast. Never iron directly on the screen surface.
Is it compatible with my projector?
Yes — the milk silk surface is optimized for both standard HD (1080p) and 4K projectors. It's compatible with virtually all consumer projector brands. Colors render accurately and the image stays sharp all the way to the edges.
Can I use this indoors?
Absolutely. All three models work just as well in a living room, garage, basement, or any indoor space. The setup is identical indoors or out — same time, same process, no mounting or drilling required. Set it up, watch your movie, pack it away.
What occasions is it built for?
Backyard movie nights, weekend camping trips, birthday parties, game-day watch parties, school events, tailgates, graduation parties, weddings, church events, HOA nights, holiday gatherings — basically any occasion where people show up expecting a good time. If you're hosting it, we've got the screen for it.
Does it come with a carry bag?
Yes, every STWUI screen ships with a dedicated STWUI carry bag — compact enough to fit in a car trunk, sturdy enough to handle repeat trips. Everything packs in cleanly: poles, screen, ropes, stakes, all of it. Zip it up and it's ready for next time.
How do I store the screen between uses?
Fold the screen loosely along its natural seams, break down the frame, coil the wind ropes, and tuck everything back into the carry bag. Store in a cool, dry spot out of direct sunlight — a closet shelf, garage corner, or under the bed all work great. Keeping it dry between uses is the main thing.
Do I need to create an account to place an order?
Nope — guest checkout works fine. If you'd like to track orders easily, save your shipping info, or manage any future warranty claims without digging through emails, a free STWUI account makes that simple. Totally up to you.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Hit "Forgot Password" on the login page and we'll send a reset link to your email within a couple of minutes. If it doesn't show up, check your spam or promotions folder — it sometimes ends up there.

What is STWUI's warranty?
Every STWUI projector screen and stand is backed by a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. If something fails due to a manufacturing defect under normal use, we make it right — replacement part, full replacement, or store credit. No runaround.
What does the warranty cover?
Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship — a stand pole that cracks under normal use, screen fabric that tears along a seam without misuse, hardware that arrives defective. If the failure is on our end, we own it and we fix it.
What is NOT covered?
Damage from misuse, accidents, extreme weather (a tornado is not what we had in mind when we said "wind-resistant"), improper storage, or normal wear over time. Modifications to the product also void the warranty. Plain and simple: damage from how it was used isn't something we're able to cover.
How do I file a warranty claim?
Email support@stwui.com with:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the issue
- A photo or short video showing the problem
We'll review it within 1–2 business days and let you know the next step. No lengthy forms, no back-and-forth maze.
What if parts are missing from my box?
Email support@stwui.com right away with your order number and a photo of what arrived. We'll ship the missing parts out to you as quickly as possible — typically within a few business days.
My screen arrived damaged. What do I do?
We're sorry about that. Please email support@stwui.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage and your order number. We'll arrange a replacement or refund — quickly, no hassle.
How do I clean the projector screen?
Spot clean only — use a soft, damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap. No abrasive scrubbers, no harsh cleaners, no machine washing. Let it air dry completely before folding or storing. If things got a little messy at the campsite, it'll clean up fine.
What if the screen develops wrinkles in storage?
Hang it vertically for a few hours and most wrinkles will fall out on their own. For stubborn creases, lightly iron the reverse side on the lowest heat setting with a thin cloth between the iron and the fabric. Never iron the front surface of the screen directly.
How do I keep the stand in good shape long-term?
After each outdoor use, wipe down the metal poles and base plates with a dry cloth before packing up — moisture from dew or damp grass can collect and, over time, cause corrosion. Make sure everything is fully dry before going into the bag. Store in a cool, dry spot when not in use and the stand will last you many seasons.
Where does STWUI ship to?

How long does delivery take?

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free standard shipping on all orders over $50 within the contiguous U.S. Since all STWUI products are priced above that threshold, every order qualifies automatically. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
How do I track my order?
You'll get a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number as soon as your order ships. Click the link in the email or enter the number directly on the carrier's website. You can also check order status anytime under "My Orders" in your STWUI account.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We move quickly on orders, so reach out to support@stwui.com as soon as possible. If your order hasn't shipped yet, we'll do everything we can to make the change. Once it's in transit, we can't pull it back — but our return process is painless if you need to send it back.
My package says "delivered" but I haven't received it. What do I do?
Check around your front door, with neighbors, or with anyone else at your address first — carriers sometimes scan packages as delivered a day early. If it's still nowhere after 24 hours, email support@stwui.com with your order number and we'll investigate and make it right.
My order arrived damaged during shipping. What now?
Email support@stwui.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damaged packaging and product. We'll get a replacement or refund sorted quickly — a bad unboxing experience isn't what we signed you up for.
What is STWUI's return policy?
If your STWUI gear isn't everything you hoped for, you can return it within 60 days of delivery for a full refund — no complicated hoops, no restocking fees. Returns on orders over $50 ship back free of charge. Just make sure the item is in its original condition and packaging. To kick off a return, email support@stwui.com with your order number and we'll walk you through the next steps.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive and inspect the return, refunds are processed within 3–5 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 3–5 business days to show up on your statement. We'll email you once the refund is issued so you're not left guessing.
